Ryan Powell is a mixed media artist interested in the way that political contestation has shaped the landscapes and spaces we live within. He uses documentary practices such as field recording, oral history interviewing and observational filmmaking as well as sculpture and sound as means of exploring histories that have left no monuments behind, and must instead be teased out through hits and clues in the landscape.
