Biography

Manuel Guajardo Mejorado was a famous Mexican wrestler known for his technical and aggressive style as a rudo (heel). He debuted in 1954 and rose to fame by forming the tag team "Los Rebeldes" with Karloff Lagarde. He won several important championships, including the NWA World Middleweight Championship and the Mexican National Middleweight Championship, with victories over legendary figures like El Santo.

In the 1960s, along with Lagarde and Ray Mendoza, he helped improve working conditions for wrestlers and later played a role in founding the Universal Wrestling Association (UWA). He was also a promoter in northern Mexico with his company "La División del Norte." He retired in 1982 and continued working as a promoter until his death in 1992. In 1996, he was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame.
