Pamela Heath was born Pamela Sneed in Columbia, Missouri on September 8, 1955. She began painting and publishing cartoons while an undergraduate at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She married her husband, Gary Heath, while in Medical School at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, later divorcing in 1987. They had no children.
Dr. Heath served as the Chief of Anesthesia in Humana Hospital-Abilene, as Director of Education for the Anesthesia Department and a member of the Surgery Faculty in Orlando Regional Medical Center, on the faculty of Anesthesia at the University of Florida in Miami, and for two years as Chief of Anesthesia at Chinle Hospital on the Navaho Reservation. Her career took a turn when she began having spontaneous psychic experiences in the early 1990s.
