Gustavo Álvarez Romero is a student of the College of Dramatic Literature and Theater from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
As part of his professional training, he attended the "Film Form Analysis" workshop, taught by Dr. Lauro Zavala; the "Cinema and Philosophy" course at the CCC, given by the screenwriter and philosopher Kevin Nöel; the "Cinematographic Appreciation" course, taught by the journalist, critic and writer of El Sol de México, Gerardo Gil Ballesteros; the "Art History" course given by the arts graduate and actress, Sandra Aguilar; as well as the "History of Mexican and World Cinema" course, taught by the critic, analyst and writer of La Jornada, Jorge Caballero.
