Souzan Alavi (Persian: سوزان علوی; born November 12, 1978, in Babol, Iran) is a German actress, singer, dancer, voice-over artist, and instructor in dance, vocals, and acting.
Born in Iran to a Persian engineer and a German ballet dancer, Souzan Alavi moved to Germany in the 1980s, arriving via Denmark. While still in school, she completed a classical ballet education at her mother's dance academy. Subsequently, she studied acting, singing, and dance at the Stage School in Hamburg, graduating with a diploma in 1999.
Alavi achieved her first major stage successes performing in several roles in the musical *Cats* in Stuttgart. She gained nationwide recognition in 2003 as a finalist on the RTL II casting show *Fame Academy – Der Weg zum Ruhm* (The Road to Fame).
