Benjamin Brillaud, also known as Nota Bene, is a French web video creator and popular history communicator, born June 18, 1988 in Athis-Mons (Essonne). He is best known for creating the Nota Bene YouTube channel in 2014, dedicated to history and mythology vulgarization. His channel reached over 2 million subscribers by 2024. From a communist family, he always opens his videos with « Mes chers camarades, bien le bonjour ! », a phrase his grandfather used at PCF or CGT meetings. He founded the Vidéothèque d'Alexandrie in 2014 (left in June 2016) and collaborates with institutions including the Louvre museum and history festivals (Rendez-vous de l'histoire de Blois, festival Histoire et Cité de Genève).
