Mayur Puri is a versatile Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and lyricist whose work has significantly shaped contemporary Hindi cinema. With a career spanning over two decades, he has transitioned from a key creative voice at Yash Raj Films to an independent powerhouse, known for penning some of Bollywood's most iconic dialogues and chart-topping songs.

Mayur’s breakthrough as a screenwriter came with the global blockbuster Om Shanti Om (2007), directed by Farah Khan. His dialogues for the film, including the legendary "Filmfare Award speech," have become an indelible part of Indian pop culture. He continued his collaboration with Farah Khan on Happy New Year (2014), a screenplay that earned the prestigious distinction of being selected for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS) permanent Core Collection.
