Biography

Marinus Jacobus Hendricus (Rinus) Michels (Amsterdam, 9 February 1928 – Aalst, 3 March 2005) was a Dutch footballer and football manager. In 1999, Michels was named the best coach of the twentieth century by FIFA. After his death, the British newspaper The Times named him the best coach of the post-World War II era in 2007. France Football chose him as the best football manager of all time in 2019.
