For Kirana (17), moving to a new city no longer feels like an adventure, but a burden that slowly erases her memory of what it means to have a home. Left isolated by her parents’ blind pursuit of their careers, she has grown accustomed to forcing herself into social circles by copying everything she observes. Kirana memorizes speech patterns, takes up foreign hobbies, and buys the exact same items as her peers just to avoid being seen as an outsider.
